Peanut started as a tray-first desktop app for speech and playback. It has grown into a voice workspace for the moments around dictation: cleaning up speech, reading dense text back, reusing snippets, translating, tracking time saved, and turning unstructured thoughts into usable drafts.

Global shortcuts keep Peanut out of the way. Speak into the app you are already using instead of switching contexts just to capture a thought.

Peanut uses cloud providers for current voice and AI workflows, with bring-your-own key settings for people who want direct provider control.
Built beyond the first draft
History, replay, snippets, dictionary, and metrics exist because useful voice work usually needs to be reused, audited, or improved later.
